“Through my vocation I have the ability to inspire all people to build a better relationship with God. In doing so, we are all creating a better world that moves closer to the image and likeness of Jesus.”

The Catholic Archdiocese of Perth offers a few support services for our community members to access. Please check them out below for support services delivered within our Catholic Social Teachings.

Disability services

A variety of associations and groups express the Church’s concern for people with physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities. They provide support and service with all the consequences of disabilities, but with special emphasis on the religious and spiritual life of the individuals and families concerned. Every effort is made to introduce people with disabilities to the sacramental and social life of the Church.

Healthcare services

The Church has a long history of the care of the sick, with many of Her Religious Orders being established to carry out this fundamental response to the Gospel. The Church continues to be involved even in the most complex areas of health care. The Church is also at the forefront of the modern need to care for the aged and in hospice care for the terminally ill.

Welfare and social services

The Lord said, ‘whatever you did for the least of my little ones, you have done for me’. The essence of Catholic living, therefore, is to recognise Jesus in the outcast, the broken, the addicted and those in physical and spiritual need. The Archdiocese has numerous agencies which assist with a variety of the personal and social needs of people regardless of race, colour or creed.
