I am pleased to welcome you to St Charles Seminary for this unique time of retreat.

From anquity to the present day, men and women have come away from the busyness of life to discover something within themselves. This time of retreat is for you, an opportunity to not only to reflect within yourself but also to, with the help of the Holy Spirit, be led closer to the Lord.

I hope and pray that this time allows for you an intensification of prayer and honest discernment in genuinely seeking what the Lord calls but also invites you to respond to.

I hope and pray, that although the board and lodgings and even the timetable of this retreat won’t be as penitential as perhaps that that St Benedict observed in his life, it may be conducive to your own journey.
